Switch and Dimmer Switch Installation in New Mexico

A switch is the part of your electrical system you touch most. National Electric NM provides switch installation in New Mexico, from replacing a worn toggle to dimmer switch installation and adding control from a second location.

Switch services

LED bulbs need dimmers designed for them. A mismatch causes flicker, buzzing, or lights that never fully turn off. We match the dimmer to your fixtures. Smart switches often need a neutral wire in the switch box, which some older New Mexico homes lack; we can add one.

Switch & Dimmer Installation FAQs

Why do my LED lights flicker on a dimmer?

Usually the dimmer was made for incandescent bulbs, or the LED bulbs are not dimmable. A compatible LED dimmer normally fixes it.

Can you add a switch where there is none?

Yes. We can add a switch for an outlet, a fixture, or a fan, and add three-way control to existing lights.

Do smart switches work in older New Mexico homes?

Most do. Some need a neutral wire in the box. If yours has none, we either run one or use a model that does not need it.
