Circuit Breaker Replacement in New Mexico
Breakers wear out. After years of heat and repeated trips, they can fail to hold, fail to reset, or worse, fail to trip. National Electric NM provides circuit breaker replacement in New Mexico, and we test the circuit first so we know the breaker is really the problem.
Breaker services
Not every breaker fits every panel, even when it seems to snap in. Using the wrong brand can cause poor contact and overheating. We stock the common panel lines found in New Mexico and install the breaker your panel is listed for.

Circuit Breaker Replacement FAQs
Can I just swap in a bigger breaker?
No. The breaker protects the wire. Putting a larger breaker on the same wire lets the wire overheat before the breaker trips. If the circuit is overloaded, the fix is another circuit, not a bigger breaker.
How much does it cost to replace a breaker in New Mexico?
A standard breaker is an inexpensive repair. AFCI, GFCI, and main breakers cost more, and obsolete panels can make parts harder to source. We tell you the price before we start.
When should the whole panel be replaced instead?
If the bus bar is damaged, the panel is a known problem model, or several breakers are failing, replacing the panel is safer and often cheaper over time.
