Whole House Surge Protection in Canones, NM
Power strips only protect what is plugged into them. A whole house surge protector, installed at your main panel in Canones, protects every circuit, including the air conditioner, furnace, refrigerator, and well pump that never touch a power strip.
Surge protection services
Most surges are small and come from inside the home or from utility switching, and over time they wear down circuit boards in appliances. A panel-mounted surge protective device handles both the everyday surges and the big storm-driven ones. In Canones we usually pair it with point-of-use protection for computers and televisions.

Nothing fully protects against a direct strike to the house. A surge protector handles the far more common case: surges arriving on the power lines from nearby strikes and utility events.
How long does installation take?
Usually about an hour, with power off for only part of that time.
Do surge protectors wear out?
Yes. They absorb energy each time they work. Most have an indicator light that shows when the device needs replacing.
