Local knowledge for Torreon, Torrance County

Torreon sits in the high desert of central New Mexico, where strong sun, wide swings between day and night temperatures, and summer monsoon lightning are hard on wiring, breakers, and outdoor equipment. Many homes here cool with evaporative coolers or have converted to refrigerated air on panels that were never sized for it.

Electric service in Torrance County is typically provided by Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative. For work on the service entrance or meter, we arrange the disconnect and reconnect with them so you do not have to.
