Local knowledge for Tularosa, Otero County
Tularosa has long, hot summers and mild winters, so cooling equipment does most of the electrical work. Panels in direct sun run hot, exposed conduit and cable degrade, and afternoon thunderstorms in monsoon season deliver frequent surges.
Depending on your address, power in Otero County typically comes from PNM or Otero County Electric Cooperative. When a job involves the meter or the service connection, we coordinate the shutoff and reconnection with the utility.
