Generator Installation FAQs for Ojo Feliz

What size generator do I need for my Ojo Feliz home?

It depends on what you want to run. Covering essentials such as the refrigerator, furnace fan, well pump, and lights takes a much smaller unit than running central air and an electric range. We do a load calculation and show you the options.

Can I plug a portable generator into my house?

Only through a transfer switch or a listed interlock with a proper inlet. Backfeeding through a dryer outlet is dangerous to you and to utility workers. We install safe connections for portable generators.

Natural gas or propane?

If you have natural gas at the street, it is the simplest choice. Many rural properties around Ojo Feliz run generators on propane, which works just as well with a tank sized for the runtime you want.

Which areas around Ojo Feliz do you cover for generator installation?

All of Ojo Feliz and the surrounding Mora County communities, including Wagon Mound, Valmora, and Miami.
