Dedicated Circuit Installation in Playas, NM

Circuits we install

A common request in Playas is a 240 volt circuit for refrigerated air when a home converts from an evaporative cooler. Others include circuits for EV chargers, mini-splits, electric ranges, and garage tools. We size the wire and breaker to the equipment's nameplate.

• Air conditioner, heat pump, and mini-split circuits
• Electric range, cooktop, and wall oven circuits
• Dryer and washer circuits
• Microwave, dishwasher, and disposal circuits
• Freezer and second refrigerator circuits
• Welder, compressor, and table saw circuits
• Well pump and water heater circuits
• Home office and server circuits

You probably need a dedicated circuit if

• A breaker trips when two appliances run together
• You are installing refrigerated air or a mini-split
• An appliance manual calls for its own circuit
• You rely on extension cords or power strips for big loads
• Lights dim when a motor starts

Dedicated Circuit Installation for Playas homes and businesses

The Chihuahuan Desert climate around Playas means months of high cooling loads, intense sun, and dramatic late-summer storms. Many homes in Hidalgo County are converting from evaporative cooling to refrigerated air, which usually calls for a new 240 volt circuit and sometimes a larger panel.

Most properties in Hidalgo County get their electricity from PNM or Columbus Electric Cooperative. If your project touches the meter or main service, we handle the scheduling with the utility.
